I am your Jewish constituent, writing to ask you to vote NO on H942. This bill will not make me or my family safer. H942 uses a contested and problematic definition of antisemitism adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. I encourage you to learn about the IHRA definition and about the Jerusalem Declaration, a more accurate, less inflammatory and less dangerous definition of antisemitism. Free expression is an important, invaluable facet of both American and Jewish cultures. I am disturbed that criticism and opposition to the state of Israel may be criminalized. I don't want my identity to be any part of squelching free speech, especially principled speech in support of human and international rights. ry and discussion.
